Overview

The Blue Mars Dollar (BLU) is the official virtual currency that can be used to purchase virtual items in Blue Mars. Users and Developers can now buy BLU using Google Checkout.
Clicking the Buy BLU button in Blue Mars (PC client version or Lite version) will open a direct link to the Google Checkout interface for buying BLU, which provides you with a secure method to input payment information.

NOTE: You will need a Google account (which will be linked to your Google Checkout account) to purchase BLU. If you don't have an account with Google, you will be asked to create one and to enter your payment information for Google Checkout during your purchase.

How to Buy BLU

In the Blue Mars PC Client...

Press the Buy BLU

icon on the Toolbar.

In Blue Mars Lite...

Select Account > Account Settings from the top menu, or click on .
Click on the Buy BLU button.

OR double-click on an item on another avatar's Item List to open the preview window. In the preview window, click on the Buy BLU button.

From the Blue Mars PC client or Blue Mars Lite, your web browser will open up to a login page. Login with your Blue Mars User account.

Click on the Start Buy Currency button.
Select the amount of BLU you want to purchase by clicking on the appropriate button.

At this point, a Google Checkout window will open up, asking you to sign in with your Google account.

Sign in with your Google account that is linked to Google Checkout. If you've never used Google Checkout before, you will be asked to enter your credit card information on the next screen in order to link your Google account to Google Checkout.

Once you've signed in, review your BLU purchase amount and your payment information. You can also add a new credit card information here.

Click on Complete your purchase button to buy your BLU.
You will see a confirmation screen letting you know that your purchase was successful.

When you close this window, you will be returned to the Blue Mars Buy Currency page.
You will receive a confirmation email from Google Checkout as well as an email from Blue Mars Support notifying you of your purchase.

How to Check Your BLU Balance

In the Blue Mars PC Client...

Check your new User BLU balance by right-clicking on your avatar or logging into your User MyPage.
Your BLU balance is also displayed in the item preview window.
