Developer MyPage

This tutorial will give you a detailed overview of the Developer MyPage and how it is used.

Home

News: This section is updated by Blue Mars to keep you up to date on new features and happenings going on with Blue Mars
Account Info : This displays basic information about you and your company such as your Company ID, your Developer Role and other useful information. To modify this section click on the upper right hand corner where it says Edit Account Info.
Edit Account Info

  • Edit email : This allows you to change the email you use to login to both the Developer MyPage and the Blue Mars Client.
  • Edit Password : Allows you to change the password you use to login to both the Developer MyPage and the Blue Mars Client.
  • Edit My Profile : This lets you change your personal information as displayed on the MyPage such as your name, operating system etc.
  • Edit Company Logo : Allows you to upload or change the image that is used for your Company's Logo, image must be 400x400 and a Jpeg File.
  • Edit Company Info : This is used to update information about your company, changing your email here will alter where the notification emails from Blue Mars will go.


Administer


Buy Currency : As the title states, this allows you to purchase Developer BLU.
Sell Currency :This allows you to convert your BLU currency into USD through your email's associated PayPal account. Wire Transfers are allowed but have a $100 fee. Please note that if you sell items in game, you will not be able to sell your currency until 30 days from the transaction has passed.
Send Currency : Allows you to send $BLU to a User or a Developer. If sending to a Developer, you must know what their "Company ID" is which can be found under Home > Account Info.
Buy City : Use this page to purchase a City plan from Blue Mars. Currently Outpost has been sold out and is no longer available.
Billing History : This page will show you all BLU transactions received and sold.
Company Members : From this page you can add a new member, transfer BLU, Change the Developer Role of a member, or remove a member from your company.

  • Add Company Member : Add a new member to your company.
  • Transfer BLU : Much like the "Send Currency" function, this allows you to transfer $BLU directly to the User account of one of your Company Members.
  • Change Developer Role : This function allows you to change the "Developer Role" of one of your Company Members, Refer to This link for more information.
  • Remove This Member : As the title states, this will remove a member from your Company. They will lose their Developer ID but retain their User Account. Refer to This link for details.

Upload Content
This allows you to upload your content to Blue Mars.

Properties

City


PROPERTIES > City > Leased Cities

Add Block This will allow you to upload a .BLD file to your city, adding a Block.
Download .B2C This will allow you to download the .B2C file that corresponds to Blocks in that particular City. You can download either all .B2C files at once, or set a time range of downloading only the most recent .B2C files.
You can choose from the following submenus:

  • All Blocks: Download all .B2C files that are contained in that particular City.
  • Recently Uploaded: Download only the .B2C files that were uploaded by Block/Shop Developers in the past
    • 24 hours
    • 3 days
    • 1 week

This will be the file you import to your City Editor to reflect changes that have been made to individual Blocks and also what must be done before uploading your updated City to Blue Mars.
Manage Subscription Allows you to manage and make payments for your City.

Blocks


PROPERTIES > City > Blocks

Download .B2C file This will download the .B2C file for the selected Block.
Edit Properties:


Price: Set the price of this block if you are going to rent it out on the Shop/Block Marketplace. This can be changed later.
Maximum Shops: Set the maximum number of shops that are allowed on this Block.
Maximum Shelves: This is predefined by the number of Shops that you have allowed on the Block. For every Shop the block owner is granted 10 Shelves.
Description: The description other users will see when browsing this block in the Shop/Block Marketplace.
Thumbnail: The thumbnail image users will see when browsing for Blocks. This image must be 400x400 and in .jpg format.



Lease Out
Marketplace Allows you to lease out your Block to the Shop/Block Marketplace.
Cancel Marketplace: Cancels the Lease out, removing your Block from the marketplace.
Specific Company Allows you to lease out your block to a specific Company.
Cancel Specific: Cancels the Lease out, The company you have offered to give a Block to will no longer be able to access your Block.
Evict Tenant Evicts a Tenant from a block.
Use By Myself Assigns the current block to yourself, allowing you to place shops/residences on it.
Re-Upload .BLD file Allows you to re-upload your .bld file, also giving you the option to rename the block.

Block

Leased Blocks

PROPERTIES > Block > Leased Blocks
Download .BLD Allows you to download the .BLD file for your selected block to edit within the Block Editor.
Upload .B2C Allows you to upload the .B2C file, incorporating new shops and changes to your block.
Make Payment Allows you to pay your rent using Developer BLU.
Terminate Lease Will terminate the lease you currently have with the block.

Shops


PROPERTIES > Block > Shops
Edit Properties

Price: Sets a price for your shop should you choose to lease it out to the Shop/Block Marketplace.
Description: The description that other users will see when they browse your Shop in the Shop/Block Marketplace.

Residences

Edit Properties

Price: Sets a price for your Residence should you choose to lease it out to the Residence Marketplace.
Description: The description that other users will see when they browse your Residence in the Residence Marketplace.
Thumbnail : A preview image of your Residence that will be visible to other users. Image must be 400x400 and in .jpg format.
Lease Out
Marketplace Allows you to lease out your Residence to the Residence Marketplace.
Cancel Marketplace: Cancels the Lease out, removing your Residence from the Marketplace.
Evict Tenant Evicts a Tenant from a Residence.
Use By Myself Assigns the current Residence to yourself, allowing you to enter and set furniture type items within the Residence.
Set Up Residence

  • Set Interior - This is only for Apartment type Residences. This will allow you to change the type of interior that will be used when tenants enter the Apartment instance.
  • Set Item - Allows you to set a released furniture type item to the residence. Whenever a tenant enters the Residence they will by default have this furniture type item in their inventory.
  • Remove All Items - Removes all "Set Item's" from this Residence.

Remove Apartment - Only used for Apartment's. This will delete the Apartment entity, allowing you to lease out a new type.



Shop

Leased Shops

Edit Shop Name: Changes the display name of your shop as you see it in the Developer MyPage.
[[Updating_a_Shop_as_a_Shop_Owner#Re-Opening_the_Shop |Download .B2S File: Downloads the .B2S for you to edit your Shop within the Shop Editor.
Upload Shop Interior Uploads the interior of your shop to Blue Mars.
Make Payment: Currently this has no functionality.
Terminate Lease Will terminate the lease you currently have with the Shop.
Set Interior Will set the interior of your shop, allowing you to place items for sale..

TIP:

1) If you have multiple Shops with the same Shop name in multiple Blocks, you can use the Shop ID rather than Shop Name to identify individual Shops.
2) You can double-click on a Block in the Leased Blocks tab. That will move you to the Shops tab, with only the Shops belonging to that Block filtered out and displayed.


Shelves

Set Item: Sets an item that you have uploaded and has been approved by QA to your shelf.
Remove ItemRemoves whatever item you have set to your shelf.
View Item Detail View Detailed information about your shelf item, Such as the number sold or the current price.

TIP: You can double-click on a Shop in the Shops tab, which will move you to the Shelves tab with only the Shelves belonging to that Shop filtered out and displayed.


Tabs

You have probably noticed the tabs above your City/Block/Shop names. This section will describe the uses for each tab on the PROPERTIES section of the Developer MyPage.

PROPERTIES > City > Leased Cities

  • City Name - This is the name of the City that people will see in Blue Mars.
  • City Plan - The type of City plan you have with Avatar Reality, Outpost, Village, City, See Blue Mars Hosting Service For more detailed information.
  • City Revenue - Total amount of BLU revenue from each City. (Note: Not Currently Functional).
  • Block Occupancy - Number of occupied Blocks / Blocks available to sublease / Maximum number of Blocks allowed.
  • Shop Occupancy - Number of Shops available to sublease / Maximum number of Shops allowed.
  • Residence Occupancy - Number of Residents available to sublease / Maximum number of Residences allowed.
  • Total Residents - Total number of Residents in each City. (Note: Not Currently Functional).
  • Total Consumption - Total amount of BLU spent in each City (Monthly). (Note: Not Currently Functional).
  • CCU - Number of concurrent users per city. Sorted by Available / Maximum allowed.
  • Network Traffic - Amount of bandwidth used (Maximum / Average). (Note: Not Currently Functional).
  • Total City Items - Total number of items specific to each City.
  • Data Status - The status of your uploaded City date.
  • Hosting Valid Through - How long your hosting is valid through. Hosting is valid for up to 30 days after your initial due date.

PROPERTIES > City > Blocks

  • Block Name - For internal identification purposes only. You can change the name of your Block with the Edit Properties command.
  • Block ID - Unique ID Assigned to each Block.
  • Tenant ID - The ID of the tenant currently leasing the Block. (If you are using the Block by yourself, this will display your ID).
  • Tenant Name - Name of current Block tenant.
  • Block Lease Fee - Block leasing fee (set by you) charged to tenants.
  • Subleasable - If the Block can sublease contained Shops / Residents.
  • Shop Occupancy - Number of occupied Shops / Shops available to sublease / Maximum number of Shops allowed.
  • Resident Occupancy - Number of occupied Residences / Residences available to sublease / Maximum number of Residences allowed. (Note: Not Currently Functional).
  • Total Residents - Total number of Residents in each City. (Note: Not Currently Functional).
  • Total Consumption - Total amount of BLU spent in each Block (Monthly).(Note: Not Currently Functional).
  • Data Status - Status of your uploaded Block layer data.
  • Paid Through - Status of your tenants payment to you.

  • Shop Name -
  • Shop ID - Unique ID assigned to each Shop.
  • Tenant ID - ID of the tenant currently leasing the shop. (If you are using this shop by yourself the ID shown will be yours).
  • Tenant Name - Name of the current Shop tenant.
  • City Name - Name of the City the Shop belongs to.
  • Block Name - Name of the Block that the Shop is within.
  • Shop Position - Location coordinates of each Shop.
  • Shop Lease Fee - Shop lease fee (Set by you) charged to tenants.
  • Number of Shelves - Total number of Shelves in each Shop.
  • Total Sales - Total amount of BLU revenue from each Shop (Monthly).(Note: Not Currently Functional).
  • Data Status - Status of your uploaded Shop data.
  • Paid Through - Status of your tenants payment to you.

PROPERTIES > Block > Residences

  • Name - Unique name assigned (by you) to each Residence.
  • Type - Type of Residence (Apartment / Residence).
  • ID - Unique ID assigned to each instance of a Residence. (This is the ID anyone renting a Residence will see when leasing the Residence.)
  • DBUniqueID - Database ID assigned to each Residence. (This is the ID you will see if you look at the entity properties in the City/Block Editor.)
  • Tenant ID - ID of the current Residence tenant.
  • City Name - Name of the City that the Residence belongs to.
  • Block Name - Name of the Block that the Residence is within.
  • Resident Position - Location coordinates of each Residence.
  • Resident Lease Fee - The cost to lease out this Residence (as set by you) to tenants.
  • Occupancy - Total number of Tenants in the Residence. (Note: Not Currently Functional).
  • Paid Through - Status of your tenants payment to you.

PROPERTIES > Shop > Leased Shops

  • Display Name - This is used for the Shop's display name in world only. You can change the name using the "Edit Shop Name" command.
  • Shop Name - For internal identification purposes only.
  • Shop ID - A unique ID assigned to each Shop.
  • City Name - Name of the City this Shop belongs to.
  • Block Name - Name of the Block this Shop belongs to.
  • Shop Lease Fee - The lease fee of the Shop (set by you) that is charged to tenants.
  • Number Of Shelves - Total number of shelves in this Shop.
  • Clerk ID - Unique ID assigned to each Shop Clerk. (Note: Not Currently Functional).
  • Interior ID - Unique ID that is assigned to each Shop Interior.
  • Total Sales - Total amount of BLU revenue from each Shop (monthly). (Note: Not Currently Functional).
  • Paid Through - Status of your lease payment to the Block Developer.

PRPERTIES > Shop > Shelves

  • Shelf Name - Used for internal identification purposes only.
  • Shelf ID - Unique ID assigned to each Shelf.
  • Shop Name - Name of the Shop where the Shelf is located.
  • Item ID - ID of the item that is currently placed on the Shelf.
