This Tutorial will show you the proper steps to follow if you would like to terminate your lease with a City Developer.

Overview

There are three different ways in which you may terminate your lease with your landlord (City Developer) who owns your Block, Shop, Residence, or Apartment. You can terminate immediately, or you can set it up so that when your paid through date has expired, your lease will be ended at that point.

Terminating a Block lease

NOTE: If you have Shops on the Block that you are terminating the lease on, all Shops on that particular Block will be terminated as well.

First, log in to the Developer MyPage and under PROPERTIES > Block > Leased Blocks select the Block that you would like to terminate.

Open the sub-menu for that Block and select Terminate Lease.

At this point, simply clicking Submit will terminate your lease when your paid through date has expired. However, checking the Terminate Lease Immediately box and then clicking Submit will immediately terminate your lease, and you will no longer be able to use the Block.

Terminating a Shop lease

Log in to the Developer MyPage and under PROPERTIES > Shop > Leased Shops select the Shop whose lease you would like to terminate.

Open the sub-menu for that Shop and select Terminate Lease.

At this point, simply clicking Submit will terminate your lease when your paid through date has expired. However, checking the Terminate Lease Immediately box and then clicking Submit will immediately terminate your lease, and you will no longer be able to use the Shop.

Terminating a Residence or Apartment lease

To terminate the lease on your Residence (Home) or Apartment, go to the Residence tab on your Avatar Right Click Menu and click the Terminate Lease button.

A second dialog window will pop up.

Simply clicking Continue will terminate your lease when your paid through date has expired. However, checking the Terminate Lease Immediately box and then clicking Continue will immediately terminate your lease, and you will no longer be able to use the Apartment.
