Leasing Out Blocks

Who can lease out Blocks?

Only a City Developer can lease out Blocks.

Note:You have to create and setup the Block first to continue with the following steps.

How do you lease out Blocks?

As a City Developer, there are 2 ways you can lease out your Blocks:

  1. You can put your Block(s) on the Real Estate Marketplace, and lease out your Block(s) to other developers.
  2. You can designate a specific developer to lease your Block(s) to.

Lease Out Your Block Through the Real Estate Marketplace

To add your Block to the listing in the Real Estate Marketplace, use the Lease Out command in the Developer MyPage.

  • Go to PROPERTIES > City > Blocks and select the Block you want to list on the Marketplace.
  • From the pull-down menu, select Lease Out > Marketplace.

  • Enter the necessary information.
    • Price: Rent you're charging for this Block (minimum 5,000 BLU/Month).
    • Maximum Shops: Amount of Shops (maximum 25) to be allocated in the Block, which determines how many Shelves the Block can contain. See HERE for more details on Shop allocation in Blocks.
    • Description: Add a brief description for your Block which will be displayed in the Marketplace.
    • Thumbnail: Upload a thumbnail(JPEG image) of your Block.

NOTE: At this point in time, we do not allow "Subleasing" of Blocks--that is, if you lease your Block to another Block Developer, that Block Developer cannot lease out the Shops created in that Block to yet another developer. However, if you as a City Developer use the Block for yourself and add Shops to it, then you can lease out your Shops to other developers.

  • Click Submit, then Yes on the confirmation screen.
  • Go to the Real Estate Marketplace and check that your Block is now added to the listing。

Remove your Block from the Real Estate Marketplace

  • To remove your Block from the Marketplace listing, go to PROPERTIES > City > Blocks and use the Lease Out > Cancel Marketplace command from the pull-down menu.

Lease Out Your Block to a Specific Company

You can also lease your Block(s) out to specific developers' companies. You would bypass the Real Estate Marketplace, and send a private invitation to that company to lease your Block.

  • Go to PROPERTIES > City > Blocks and select the Block you want to lease to a specific company.
  • From the pull-down menu, select Lease Out > Specific Company.

  • In addition to the information you would enter if you were leasing out to the Marketplace, enter the Company ID of the recipient of your offer in the Leased To: field. You would need to obtain this Company ID from your recipient, who can find it in the Developer MyPage under HOME > Account Info.
  • Once you submit, the recipient will receive an email invitation to lease your Block:

Cancel

  • To withdraw your invitation to lease, use the Lease Out > Cancel Specific command.

Leasing Out Shops

Who can lease out Shops?

Only a City Developer can lease out Shops, and only if he/she is also the owner of the Block which contains the Shops.
